Nearly 30 years ago one of my teachers threw me into the cold waters by saying to me “Go on, start teaching now, you’re ready for it.” So I did, with not much more to build on than my skills at the time and my teacher’s trust and confidence in me: That what I knew was sufficient for teaching others, and that I had was it takes.

It was an exciting journey, but also full of doubts, trial-and-error and stress because I had no reference other than the courses I had taken myself. My teacher was far away – this was before internet and emails became a normal way of communication – so I had no-one to ask and had to wait and ask the participants for feedback. (They were all very helpful and happy to be asked for their input, by the way, so that’s nothing to worry about! 🙂 )

My main Reason Why for setting up CourseShaper is to make YOUR teaching path easier and smoother than mine was.

I’m offering you feedback and support in two ways: Replying to your comments here on site, and per email.

A) For free: Via the comments

You can ask questions or comment on any post or page.

In addition, I have prepared a few Q&A pages to collect questions and answers on certain topics – you can access them via the Menu at the top or via the sidebar. in updating mode and not accessible at the moment

These Q&A pages are a Work in Progress. I’ll add the most common or general questions and answers from the comments to the page itself, but you might also find it helpful to browse through the comments. And, of course, if you can give feedback on someone’s comment, please do reply to them!

B) For a fee: Per private email

Obviously, not everything can be discussed this way, especially if I need to have a look at  what you want feedback on.

Choose this option if you have a single and specific personal question regarding your course or teaching. This could be points like feedback on your course outline, a video you’ve created, the text or layout for a class handout, your introduction or class overview,…

How it works:

  1. At the moment I have 5 (five) slots for email feedback sessions available.
  2. You send me a request by filling in the form at the bottom of this page. Do not include any links as then your request will be mistaken for spam and deleted.
  3. I’ll read your request.
    • If I can answer your question right away, I will do so.
    • In cases where I need clarification or more information from you (like a course outline, a link to a video or such) I will ask you to send it to me.*1
  4. I’ll send you an email in reply.
  5. At the end of my email, I’ll include a payment link to Gumroad, like this one.*2
  6. You pay my fee, with any major credit card or PayPal via Gumroad, and we’re complete.

*1 – Short answer or long answer?

A concise response might be all you need to get rolling, and wastes neither your time nor mine. If something can be said in a few paragraphs, what’s the point in waffling on for another three pages? Lengthiness doesn’t increase value, at least not in my mind. 😉

Depending on your request, and as applicable, I’ll also include suggestions, tips or links to resources that I believe will lead you in the right direction.

If I think that more in-depth explanation or exploration would be of interest to you, I will mention it. If you want to follow up on that, send me a new request for another session so we can dig deeper.

*2 – Clarification or confirmation

After you get my reply, you might want to clarify or confirm your understanding of something I wrote. In this case, simply write back to me.

If I can clarify or confirm your point with a Yes, No, or in a few sentences, then this is included in the fee you’ve paid already.

My working hours and time zone

I do my best to reply to you within a day or two, Monday through Thursday (!). I live in Greece and my time zone is Athens GMT+2. So if you live for example in Canada and send me an email on Thursday afternoon (your time), I won’t reply to it before (my) Monday.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do you offer live support, like via Skype, Messenger or Zoom?

A: Not at the moment. I’ve tested this option, but our internet connection is not reliable enough, so unless the connectivity quality and speed improve a lot: No.

Q: Do you offer one-on-one coaching?

A: Yes, I reserve time for a couple of four-week coaching packages – no long-term obligations. Please use the request form below to contact me and tell me what you’re looking for.

Q: Do you offer group coaching?

A: Not at the moment, but if you’re interested, please tell me using the form below, and I’ll put your name on a special list so I can notify you when I do.
